Signals help you stay up to date when something important changes at a company or among the people you’re researching. There are now two ways to track companies with Signals: through your Engagement Engine searches or by adding specific companies to your Watchlist.
Find signals through your searches
Signals start with the searches you run in the Engagement Engine.
Search for the audiences, people, or companies you want to find opportunities around. As you search, Habits looks for relevant developments connected to those searches.

Watch specific companies
You can also add specific companies to your Watchlist and have Habits look for relevant updates.
Add up to 10 companies you want to keep an eye on. You can add notes about what you’re looking for, such as new hires, product launches, funding, or other changes that could create a reason to reach out.
This is especially useful when you already know which companies you want to stay informed about, even if you haven't searched for them in the Engagement Engine.

View your signals
Open Signals in the Habits app to see recent updates connected to your searches and Watchlist.
Each signal includes:
- What happened: A short description of the update.
- When it happened: How recently the update occurred.
- Company: The company connected to the update.
- Why you're seeing it: How the update relates to something you previously searched for or a company you're watching.
For example, you might see updates about a company raising funding, announcing layoffs, changing its outlook, hiring for a key role, or making another significant announcement.

Research a signal
When you see an update that's relevant to your work, click Research.
This lets you dig deeper into the company and the update so you can better understand what happened and decide whether it's worth reaching out.
Dismiss a signal
If an update isn't useful, click Dismiss to remove it from your active signals.
This helps keep your Signals page focused on updates that are more useful to you.
Mark something as not relevant
If a signal isn't relevant to you or your work, click Not relevant.
This gives you a quick way to separate useful updates from things you don't want to act on.
Get notified when something changes
You’ll receive notifications by email when Habits finds a relevant update connected to the companies and audiences you’re researching or the companies on your Watchlist.
That way, you can stay informed about important changes without having to constantly check for them yourself.
